I am retired a Deakin University academic who taught at the Burwood Campus from 1988 to 2003 in the Education and Arts faculties. I have taught English Literature, Literary Studies, Children’s Literature and Children’s Literature and the Media. I spent my last two professional years teaching off-campus students online. Earlier in my career I taught at primary then secondary schools. There was such diversity in the tertiary student population, from exit Year 12 students to mature age students, including an 8o years young person!
Now happily retired, I spend my time with friends and family, doing volunteer work, learning jazz piano, travelling and participating in Coursera online units. I am an avid user of social media.
