AB-profile

The bulk of my career has been in ‘international development’ which largely relates to formulating and implementing large-scale projects in developing
countries. This has involved stints in the public and private sector, and included living in PNG and the Philippines. Landing on this career was a
somewhat circuitous process informed by working for a large accounting firm, an environmental NGO and teaching.

Spending two years living in rural Western Australia, seconded to a regional development commission, crystalised my interest in the politics of change within places – an
interest perhaps seeded from growing up in Tasmania during the turbulent 1970’s and ’80’s, when the faith placed in industrial development was being questioned by the heretical, but politically-attuned, green movement.

Settling in one place has never been easy but we (wife and two sons) now enjoy life in Seaford and all that this region has to offer.
